Revisiting GGPO

As we create awareness on our plight to fight hunger and poverty, our numbers grow and our impact is more felt. From barely 2 members, we grew to become bigger and more committed.

With the likes of Sama Foncha, Loretha, F Michael, T James and Sir Besong etc, (a total of 8 persons and counting) SGIF is weightier. And we are taking on bigger projects.

For a second time, we reached out to Grace of God Philanthropic Orphanage. Things had become different. Once locked up in tiny house, they have grown from renting a house to owning their own structure. A growth we delight to always see.

The girls are now able to have their own section separately form the guys.

They also boast of a farm land which now helps as a source of cheaper food and also a regular source of income for the orphanage.

We started the day with a little meeting at the founders residence, T J Christ Lebga. Then moved out to finalise buy what we needed.

As soon as that was done, we had nothing else but boarding the taxi to the orphanages NEW site.

Some face were absent while new face had added but one face stayed just like many others. It is baby Hope

Her openness had not changed one bit. still the loving and cheerful little girl we met the last time. The only thing that seemed to have change was her body size and the firmness in her stamina. It was a lovely time. And every second we spent with these kids was a memory worth cherishing.

We had so many songs and little play. apart from seeing this kids and providing them with their basic needs and food, we made the Christmas worth it. little personal gives of our own made them happy. if not for ever at least for a moment and it was worth all the efforts.

Speaking about the day, the CEO had this remark;

It was most remarkable to have met this young guy. He was barely in form 4, but he made up his mind to visit the orphans of his own volition. It might have been a coincidence that we met him there that day, but I don't think so. I guess God was just telling us, you are not alone and if you chose not to do it, someone else will do so. Caring for humanity is a privilege.
